The Royal Cornwall Museum

The Royal Cornwall Museum one of Cornwall’s oldest museum, opened in 1818. Admission is free and it has fantastic exhibitions all year round. There is an amazing mineral display, including the largest Liroconite crystal ever found, and even houses an Egyptian mummy!

Many of the donated artefacts of the museum make this a fascinating place, consisting of items from Ancient Greece to a collection of drawings and paintings. The museum often have family oriented activities and programmes throughout the year, so there will always be something interactive for younger members, as well as providing for those interested in the significance of Cornwall’s history and artefacts.
