Eden Project

Arguably, The Eden Project is Cornwall’s most famous tourist attraction, receiving thousands of visitors every year. Reported to be the World’s largest greenhouse, with bio domes providing environments from a typical English garden to Mediterranean and tropical rainforest environments. There are so many zones within the domes that cover the variations and environments around the world.

Transformed from a disused quarry, this great tourist attraction is an educational charity and beacon of conservation ideas. With so much to do for children and great facilities on site, including cafes and visitor centre and store, this is truly a must visit for all that arrive in Cornwall.

On our visit we were awed by the immense size of the place and the sheer numbers visiting was astounding. There is much to walk through and you can really feel each climate as you pass through. You can imagine how quickly we had to pass through the tropical environment; it was so hot in this section. Make sure you carry water with you as you will certainly need a drop or two.

The Eden Project is a wonderful a most recognised tourist attraction where one can stay close by, in the many Cornish cottages available. Many of Cornwall’s finest cottages, some of which cottages are close by to such a symbol of conservation.

The kids enjoyed running around the grounds and looking at the many artistically created hedges.
