The Minack Theatre is a delightful open air theatre on the cliffside with beautiful views out to the sea. The Tempest was the first performance at the Minack Theatre which was held in 1932. Rowena Cade chose this location after finding difficulty in providing a suitable location with ample seating for such productions. A simple stage and some basic stone seating was erected for this show, however, with the many years since passed, the theatre has developed into the fantastic venue it is today.
