Mevagissey Fishing Village

Mevagissey is a wonderful kept 14th century fishing village with beautifully restored cottages traditional stores throughout. It is fantastic place to visit during the summer days and evenings where you will find many wonderful and quaint specialist shops, art galleries and some very good restaurants for evening meals. It is also very close to some of Cornwall’s great tourist attractions including the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

In Mevagissey, you’ll find many narrow alley ways and paths in and around the village, leading to some wonderful views and places to relax. There are also beaches in Mevagissey, if you just want to relax and catch a great tan, on a summer day.

On our visit, we spent most of the day in Mevagissey and would have stayed much longer, but for our ‘busy schedule’ and desire to visit the The Lost Gardens of Heligan. I would recommend a full day to get around all the wonderful galleries and quaint shops as well as spending some time on the beach.

Mevagissey is a gorgeous village where one can stay close by, in the many holiday cottages available. Cornwall’s loveliest cottages, some of which are Cornish cottages quite near to such a wonderful location.
Cornish cottage owners are very welcoming to holiday makers, who arrive at Cornish shores, countryside, beaches, monuments and historical sites; many visitors tend to discover so much of Cornwall’s most relaxing and beautiful locations. There are many cottages to choose from, throughout the whole of Cornwall; making Cornwall an excellent place to embark on a journey of discovery of coastal sites, theme parks and other interesting sites. I recommend that you select a quaint cottage, which would enrich the whole family experience of this desireable corner of United Kingdom.

When visiting Cornwall, you should endeavour to visit the many sites, villages, cottage holidays, or stunning countryside. Cornwall is a wonderful holiday location with sandy beaches, countryside, culture and traditional values. You will, without doubt, enjoy much of what is available in and around Cornwall, in the cosiness of a traditional, gorgeous cottage; go to the Cornwall Sunshine website and find the ideal cottage for you and your family. Cornwall’s key feature, is that it is home to many wonderful locations that are full of history, mythology and tradition, not to mention the stunning small farms, towns and villages. You will enjoy the experience of a cottage in Cornwall, many built from local stone, slate and with thatched roofs. These are a great feature of Cornwall’s history and a visual guide of how eye-catching it is to be in Cornwall.

Mevigissey is picturesque, quaint Cornish village, where you will find some wonderful galleries and two relaxing beaches, and in the evening there are some excellent restaurants to choose from.
